fortnight in mainstream usage
for the better part of 2 years, i have been on a mission to bring back the word “fortnight.” for those who don’t know, it’s a unit of measurement for time, and it covers 2 weeks. rarely do you see it outside a Jane Austen novel, but over the past few years, it’s been cropping up, though again mainly in UK publications (Economist anyone?).
